This is granola matador, my section of the website where i explain any reasonings behind songs. If there are any reasons that is.

His face was the first song people really heard and said they enjoyed of mine. It was the first song recorded on the mixer i had, after playing a few random chords with some very random effects i came up with the chord pattern, and went from there. Lyrics wise that was even more random than the chords, no real story behind it other than a belief that people through many different reasons don't get the attention they need to further themselves, with a few lyrics to a melody here and there it all came out in the outfit of an image of a small boy being pushed around in a big world.

To hide from + No one stole are both thanks to a film a good friend Ant has made. They are both very topical to the film after watching a 40 second clip, i sat at a the piano and well it all pretty much went from there. I could sit at a piano for months is just something about the sound.

My Friend, this is written about the condition ME it might not sound like its written about a condition more a person but i do not lie. As ive had it for a good number of years now, its one i wrote a while ago trying to understand what was going on with illness and all. The one song ive written that was lyrics first and music second but it seems to of worked.

Chase the stars aaa the song that took a million years to record, due to a mixer that wish's itself a flight out of my bedroom window, this song took the longest to record after 13 attempts on one track it is still the song ive enjoyed the most. This is just about sitting under the stars at night and wondering about, well just about anything.

Music Influences Thought this is the song that i wrote with no lyrics not because im lazy, even though i am, but so that anyone listening can put what ever they want to it. The song is called what it is because i feel music can influence so many different thoughts and moods, so why put lyrics to a song when people might enjoy thinking about things in past or future to a soundtrack.

This has been my Granola Matador.
